Maldini: “From Madrid, great news for Giampaolo”
Paolo Maldini has returned very optimistic after the meeting with Real Madrid promising good news for Marco Giampaolo.
MILAN NEWS – Marco Giampaolo’s new AC Milan grows with a considerable dose of optimism. The Rossoneri technical director Paolo Maldini returned to Italy this morning after an important trip to Spain and a productive meeting with Real Madrid alongside Boban and Massara.
Interviewed by the media, Maldini replied: “Meeting with Real Madrid? Everything went fine, there is good news for Giampaolo. Optimism for this new Milan?Always, yes”, he added for Sky Sport.
It seems like the new technical director of the Red and Blacks is very pleased after the first contacts with Real Madrid. Dani Ceballos was the main topic of discussion but not only. AC Milan want to bring the Spanish midfielder at San Siro for next season.
Real Madrid reportedly want around 45 million euros for the 22-year-old central midfielder. A high figure that could be lowered with additional work by Maldini. With Cagliari demanding 50 million for Barella and Sassuolo 35 million for Sensi, AC Milan seem rather willing to invest a lot of money for a player who has already proved himself at the highest level.

However, as revealed by Marca, AC Milan and Real did not talk only about Ceballos. The Rossoneri also asked for information on Martin Odegaard, Theo Hernandez and Borja Mayoral. Unlike what was initially reported Isco is an unrealistic option.
